- Create a warm inviting space that isn’t doused in your own personal style. Pack up anything you do not need to use in the near future. Personalization only hinders the buyer’s imagination.
- Go through each room and discover what your eye is drawn to. Take note and make certain it is the most positive aspect of that room.
- Clean, Clean, Clean! Buyers do not want to buy a dirty home. Get every square inch to pristine condition. Hire a cleaning service to get a good deep cleaning.
- Pare down. Excess furniture and accessories make rooms seem smaller and distract the buyers.
- Clear out storage areas. Closets and under beds jammed with stuff only says one thing to your potential buyer, this place doesn’t have enough storage space.
- Set the stage. Turn on lights, play soft music, add flowers, put out refreshments etc. Create a warm and inviting environment.
